A Little About Me

Hi, I'm Anna.

Wife, mama to two little ones, birth doula, and the heart behind Vine & Branch.

If you had told me years ago that I'd find myself walking alongside women as they bring their babies into the world, I might not have believed you. But looking back, I can see how God was quietly weaving together the experiences that would eventually lead me here.

My love for birth began with witnessing my best friend welcome her twins into the world. And when I say it was unforgettable, I mean it. One baby was born in the car, and the second arrived breech. It was unexpected, incredible, and an experience that forever changed the way I viewed birth and the strength of a woman's body.

Then came my own journey into motherhood.

I've had the privilege of experiencing two unmedicated births, each beautiful and wildly different. My second even ended in an unexpected home birth! Those experiences taught me that while we can prepare thoughtfully for birth, we can't always predict how our stories will unfold.

And perhaps that's one of the greatest lessons birth has taught me: preparation matters, but so does having people beside you who help you feel safe, capable, and supported when things don't go as planned.

The Heart Behind Vine & Branch

My faith is the foundation of this work. I believe God designed our bodies with incredible intention, and I see birth as one of the most remarkable examples of His creation.

The name Vine & Branch reflects that foundation—a reminder of where my strength comes from and the importance of remaining rooted in Him.

But beyond my own experiences and beliefs, what matters most to me is your experience.

I don't believe there's one perfect way to give birth. I believe in informed decisions, meaningful preparation, trusting your instincts, and having someone in your corner who respects your wishes and helps you navigate the unexpected.

As your doula, I'm not here to take the place of your husband, your medical team, or your own voice. I'm here to come alongside all of you—to offer encouragement, education, practical comfort, and a steady presence throughout your journey.

Beyond Birth

When I'm not supporting growing families, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband and our two little ones, fitting in a workout, enjoying the Colorado outdoors, or embracing the ordinary, sometimes chaotic, moments of motherhood.

Being a mom has changed me in more ways than I could have imagined, and it's made my heart for supporting other mothers that much bigger.

I'm so grateful you've found your way here. Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, my hope is that you feel welcomed, encouraged, and reminded that you don't have to navigate this season alone.

I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

I'd love to get to know you.

Every birth story is different, and I'd love to hear a little about yours. Let's connect and see how I can support you.
